Jimmy Cliff has not done a bad song, but to me his best is "Many Rivers to Cross"- It's my fave song of all time. "Keep Your Eyes on the Sparrow" and "Another Cycle" also stand out.

few people speak out of hardship in art but when someone does this, like jimmy has done, and also points a way into tomorrow out of that hardship, we all benefit and are strengthened. for personal reasons i like "sitting here in limbo" but i must say most songs of his equally touched my life at the time i heard them. looking foreward to hearing more.

In 1973 when I was 14, my older friend turned me on to Jimmy Cliff. I have been a devoted fan of Jimmys ever since. I have been honored to view Jimmy play live twice in my life, and I am looking forward to seeing him again. All of Jimmys music is spiritualy inspiring. It's hard to single out anyone of his songs as my favorite but his Saturday Night live performance of Many Rivers To Cross is permanently etched in my mind. All of his music from The Harder They Come Soundtrack is classic, and his current Jamaica Time,The City and People from Black Magic are new classics. Thank You Jimmy!

Not one song or number of Jimmy Cliff is bad or wrong. but to me personally his most outstanding nummer is : Many rivers to Cross. I've learned to love this number in a special way, when in a certain period of time when i was going through deep waters this num,ber helped to lifted me up again, and helped brighten my future again too.

The best song by Jimmy Cliff remains House of Exile. It is so powerful and so beautifully written! It is true also that the man has many treats for us fans... Synthetic World, Footprints, Roots Radical,... Only gems!

can't say for sure which is the best Jimmy Cliff Song, most are classic he has never put a foot wrong, "Many Rivers To Cross" will live for a million year, other great gem include "House Of Exile" most of the songs in Journey of life Time, Image, Special, Give Thankx and most recently Black Magic classic.
Jimmy Himself don't know his greatest song. He is the King am happy to be a subject.

'where ever that goest i will go till I find out the greatest thing to know my people are not your people' these timeless line I heard in the the early 70s as i walk home from school in the dusty street of Benin city Nigeria, Till date it I yearn for the hot afternoon. Cliff songs has since been my guiding light. You are too great brother wish you can bless us with your presence in Nigeria.
